Sunday, July 30 - Sister, Enough
Rachel and Leah were products of a culture that demanded more of each of them, and so they, in turn demanded more too. Leah wasn’t beautiful enough, but she had plenty of children. Rachel was beautiful, but had no children. And of course, there’s a man who claimed both of them as his own, and we never really hear what they have to say about that.
As we leave Rachel and Leah today, think about your own silence in your life. Where are you silenced, and where do you choose not to speak? Is this working for you? How would you like it to be different?
