Wednesday August 2 - Be An Answer To Prayer

Read Romans 13:8-10

Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. The commandments...are summed up in this word, “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

According to The New Interpreter’s Study Bible, states that in this scripture, Paul uses a play on words, comparing the debt of taxes, which can be repaid, to the debt of love, which can never be repaid. “Four times Paul defines Christian love as other-directed as opposed to self-pleasure.”

When we look at Rebekah’s story, how does she demonstrate others-focused love, and how does this align with both God’s will for the world, and God’s will for Rebekah’s life?

How does this understanding impact your own life path?
